Jocelyn Benoist
Visiting Professor

Jocelyn Benoist is Maître de conférences at Paris-I Panthéon-Sorbonne and a researcher at the Husserl Archives (ENS/CNRS). His main interest is the relation between phenomenology and analytical philosophy. Professor Benoist was invited to Northwestern by FIG in Spring 2003. He taught two courses, one in the Philosophy department, on Husserl, and the other in the department of French and Italian, exploring the relation between existentialism and structuralism and the crucial role played by Merlau-Ponty in 20th century French thought.
