Didier Bigo
Visiting Professor

Didier Bigo teaches International Relations at Sciences-Po (the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris) and is a researcher at the Centre d’Etude et de Recherche Internationale (CERI). He is also the director of the Center for Study of Conflict and the editor of the journal Cultures et Conflits. Professor Bigo, who holds degrees in both Law and Political Science, specializes in issues of security (internal and external) and has written extensively, since the early 1980’s, on the question of terrorism and political violence. In Fall 2003 he will teach a course on “European (In)Security” in the department of Political Science and a course on “Franco-American Relations” in French, in the Department of French and Italian. He will also participate in a workshop organized by the French Interdisciplinary Group and the Center for International and Comparative Studies on “Homeland Security.”
