Lee Huebner

Lee Huebner,
(Ph.D. Harvard), Professor of Communication Studies, School of
Speech, and of Journalism. From 1969 to 1973 he served
as Special Assistant to President Nixon and deputy White House
staff director for writing and research. In 1979
he was named publisher of the International Herald Tribune and
served in Paris as that publications chief executive for
14 years. In 1995-96 he served as interim president of the American
University in Paris (where he has been a trustee since 1984).
He has been president of the American Chamber of Commerce in
France and was awarded the French Legion of Honor in 1989. Professor
Huebner has initiated and directs three Northwestern international
study projects that take place each year in Paris during Spring
break (Medill undergraduate seminar, Integrated Marketing Communication
seminar, and Master of Science in Communication seminar).
