Raymond J. Krizek
(Ph.D., Northwestern University), Stanley F. Pepper Chair in Civil
Engineering; Director of Master of Project Management. His main
research interests are in Mechanical Properties of Grouted Sands;
Disposal of Waste Slurries; Problems Involving Soil-Structure Interaction;
Engineering Behavior of Dredged Materials; Dynamic Response of Soils.
Recent honors and awards include: Corresponding Member of the Spanish
Royal Academy of Engineering (1999); ASCE Illinois Section Engineer
of the Year (1998); President, Geo-Institute, ASCE. Krizek has edited
ten books and contributed to several others; he has published over
280 papers in various journals and proceedings, plus about 50 technical
reports. Among his most recent publications: with Lo, W., Chao,
C.H., and Hadavi, A, "Contractor Selection Process for Taipei Mass
Rapid Transit System," Journal of Management Engineering
(1998); with Sobhan, K. "Performance of a a Stabilized Base Course
Material Containing Recycled Aggregate and Fly Ash Under Repeated
Flexural Loadings," Special Geotechnical Publication on Recycled
Materials in Geotechnical Applications, Geo-Congress, 1998. In 1993
Professor Krizek received the "Palmes académiques" from the
French Ministry of Education.
